Ranktracker Update: Temporary Top 30 Tracking — Full Top 100 Returns in November

Intro

Google’s October 25, 2025 update has permanently changed how SEO tools collect search results.
As of October 28, 2025, the Google Search Lite SERP API is being fully deprecated, removing the low-cost method that allowed all Top 100 results to be fetched in a single request.

For years, the &num=100 parameter and Lite endpoints made it possible for SEO platforms to pull the first 10 pages of Google results efficiently.
With the removal of this feature, the Google Organic SERP API has reverted to standard pagination — 10 results per page — increasing both data costs and complexity across the industry.

Reports from Seroundtable confirm that this change is permanent, with many rank tracking tools broken or severely limited and Google Search Console data showing erratic reporting.

These changes affect every SEO tool provider.
The single-call, 100-result method is officially gone.

Ranktracker’s Response: Temporary Top 30 Tracking

To ensure uninterrupted service for all users, Ranktracker will temporarily support Top 30 tracking (the first three pages of Google results) while our engineers complete a new system designed to restore full Top 100 tracking under the updated API structure.

We expect to roll out this new full-depth tracking solution in November 2025.

“Google’s latest API change hit everyone — but we’re already deep into development of our next-gen tracking system. Full Top 100 coverage will be back soon.”
Felix Rose-Collins, Co-Founder & CEO

What This Means for Users

  • Your Ranktracker account and reports remain fully functional.
  • Keyword results will temporarily display up to position 30.
  • No historical data or reporting has been lost.
  • When our new system launches, tracking depth will automatically expand back to Top 100 — no action required.

Industry Comparison: Where Others Stand

Every SEO platform has been impacted — but not all have been transparent about it.

Here’s the current landscape following Google’s API change:

  • Semrush: Tracking limited to Top 10–20 results.
  • Ahrefs: Tracking limited to Top 10 results.
  • Most other tools: Tracking only Top 10–20 results, or pausing updates entirely.
  • Ranktracker: Currently tracking Top 30 results, with full Top 100 tracking returning in November 2025.

Even during this disruption, Ranktracker offers the deepest live SERP coverage available in the market — and we’re the only platform publicly confirming a path back to full 10-page tracking.

Looking Ahead: Full Top 100 Tracking Returns in November

Our engineering team is finalizing a new, high-efficiency data collection system that will:

  • Retrieve Top 100 SERPs within Google’s new API limitations.
  • Maintain industry-leading accuracy and affordable pricing.
  • Offer flexible tracking options, from Top 10 to Top 100, and custom update schedules.

This next-generation Ranktracker infrastructure ensures that users retain full SERP visibility, even as Google evolves.

Industry Context

Many rank tracking tools are now limited to the first 1–3 pages of results or have paused operations entirely.
Ranktracker remains online, transparent, and committed to delivering the deepest, most reliable data possible during this transition period.

“Even when Google moves the goalposts, Ranktracker adapts — fast.”
